Event

Cali, principal sport city of Colombia, is the venue of thirs stage of Track World Cup, in seasson 2009-2010.

In 2008, Cali was the venue city that organizes this event, afterwards to improve its scenarios, in special Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome.

Cali is again the host city for the new Track World Cup, as it was for 7 years in the late twentieth century and at the beginning of the twenty first. 

International Cycling Union (UCI) trust in Cali as great city for track cycling, after 8 stages maked succesfully among 1997 and 2003, and 2008.

Wood track of Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome will be the scenario to know what is the best country, and to defend stage title of Colombia.

The World Cup is the best way to promote the track cycling in the world, and UCI lean it severely.

For the season 2009-2010, The Track World Cup is going to have four rounds:
1.     Manchester, from October 30st to November 1st, 2009,
2.     Melbourne from November 19th to 21st, 2009,
3.     Cali from December 10th to 12th, 2009,
4.     Beijing from January 22nd to 22th , 2010. 

The event is belongs to the Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI,  which counts with official sponsors such as Tissot, Bosco sports, Santini and Look, among others.
